Which languages are supported?
14 out of the box: English, Hindi, Marathi, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Bengali, Gujarati, Punjabi, French, Spanish, German, Japanese, and Chinese (Simplified). You can also enter a custom target language.
Do you store my audio?
No. Audio is processed in-memory for the translation request and discarded immediately. Only the resulting text — transcript and translation — is saved to your history.
Can I use MASR AI offline?
Translations require an internet connection to reach our translation engine. The recording, voice detection, and history viewer all run locally in your browser.
What's the speech-to-text quality like?
We send 16kHz mono PCM directly to our AI audio understanding endpoint. It's near-human for clear speech and surprisingly resilient on Indian-language code-mixing.
How is my history protected?
Your history is keyed to your account and stored server-side. Passwords are hashed with PBKDF2. Sessions use HTTPOnly, SameSite=Lax cookies.
